For ARK: Survival Ascended, you pick mods directly from CurseForge, where all official ASA mods are hosted. Your server downloads them itself on start, so you don't need to upload any files.
Adding mods
- In the client area, open your server → Mods tab.
- On the right you see the most popular mods. Search by name or paste a CurseForge link or the project ID.
- Click Add on a mod. It appears in your list on the left.
- Click Save and restart the server.
If a mod needs another mod, the portal adds it automatically when you save and places it before.
Order
The order of the list is the load order. Change it with the arrows. Some mods must load before others; this is usually mentioned in the description on CurseForge.
Good to know
- Players don't need to install anything. ASA downloads the mods automatically when joining.
- The first start with new mods takes longer because the server downloads them first.
- Updates: on every restart the server fetches the latest version of the mods.
- Many mods need more memory. If it gets tight, book more RAM under Manage → Book more resources.
- Server no longer starts? Remove the mod you added last, save and restart.
