Here you'll learn how to connect to your Barotrauma server.
Connecting
- Start the server on the server page with Start.
- Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
- In the game, connect via the multiplayer menu or direct connect using the address (IP:Port) at the top of your server page.
Important settings
- Automatic update (
AUTO_UPDATE) – 1 = on, 0 = off. The server then checks for updates on every start.
There are no other startup variables for this game. You can edit the server files in the Files tab (file manager or SFTP). Stop the server first so your changes aren't overwritten.
Changes to the Startup variables take effect on the next restart.
Good to know
- On first start, the server downloads the game files. This can take a few minutes – please don't interrupt it.
- You can find further ports of your server in the Ports tab.
