Email aliases: several addresses, one mailbox

info@, contact@ and support@ all land in the same mailbox – how to set up aliases.

2 minute read Updated 28.10.2026

An alias is an additional email address that points to an existing mailbox. Example: you have the mailbox max@your-domain.com and want mail to info@your-domain.com and contact@your-domain.com to arrive there too – without creating separate mailboxes.

Creating an alias

  1. Open your domain in the customer area and go to the Email section.
  2. Click + Alias next to the mailbox you want.
  3. Enter only the part before the @, e.g. info, and click Add.

The new address then appears with the mailbox under Also reachable as. Mail to this address arrives in the mailbox shortly afterwards – you don't need to change anything in your mail program.

Removing an alias

Click the × next to the alias. Mail to this address will no longer arrive.

Good to know

  • No extra storage: An alias uses no additional space and doesn't count as a mailbox.
  • Up to 50 aliases per mailbox. Each address can only exist once per domain – as a mailbox or as an alias.
  • Allowed characters: letters, digits, dot, hyphen and underscore.
  • Working separately: If several people should read their own mail with their own password, create a separate mailbox instead of an alias.
  • Setting up the mailbox in your mail program: how it works.
