Instead of a long IP address like 203.0.113.10:25565, your players can use a free, easy-to-remember address, for example myserver.nxplay.de.
How to set it up
- Open your server in the client area.
- In the "Manage" card, enter the name you want under "Custom address" and click "Save".
- After 1–2 minutes the address is ready and shows up next to the IP, with a copy button.
With some internet providers it can take up to an hour until the address is known everywhere.
Minecraft (Java): no port needed
For Minecraft Java Edition the name alone is enough, for example myserver.nxplay.de. The port is found automatically. For all other games, including Minecraft Bedrock, add the port as usual, for example myserver.nxplay.de:2456. You can always see the full address in your server overview.
The big advantage: the address moves with your server
If your server's IP ever changes, for example when it moves to new hardware, we update your custom address automatically. Your players don't need to change anything.
Name rules
- 3–30 characters: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens (not at the start or end)
- Each name can only be taken once.
- Offensive, extremist or misleading names are not allowed.
- You can change the name once per day.
- A released name is held back for 30 days so nobody else can grab it right away.
Removing the address
Clear the field and click "Edit". If you cancel your server, the address is removed automatically.
Tip: Your custom address also appears on your shareable server page and in the Discord status banner.
