First look at the History card on the server page – it shows how players, memory and CPU developed over the last 24 h or 7 days. “Live from the server” shows the current state.
- Memory constantly at its limit: lots of mods, large worlds or many players need more RAM. If that's the case, the server page automatically shows the recommendation “Your server is at its limit.” with a button for the right tier. Alternatively, reduce mods.
- CPU constantly high, memory free: often it's individual plugins, a large number of animals/objects in the world or too large a view or simulation distance. Reduce these in the settings – or book a higher CPU tier.
- Lag always at the same time: the history shows whether it coincides with many players or, for example, a backup.
- Only individual players lag: then it's usually their internet connection.
A regular restart via a schedule (e.g. at night, with a warning for players) helps many games stay stable.
