EssentialsX brings the commands almost every server needs: personal homes, warps, teleport requests, kits, spawn and much more.
Installing
- Server page → Installer tab → Plugins → search for
EssentialsX→ Install. - For chat prefixes and permission groups, also install Vault (search the same way).
- Restart the server. The console shows
[Essentials] Enabling Essentials ….
The installer only fetches the main plugin. Add-on modules like EssentialsX Chat or EssentialsX Spawn can be downloaded from the EssentialsX page if needed and uploaded to the plugins folder in the Files tab.
The most popular commands
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/sethome and /home | save your own spot and teleport there (default: up to 3 homes) |
/setwarp Name and /warp Name | public teleport points for everyone (e.g. shop, arena) |
/tpa Player and /tpaccept | teleport to a friend – they have to accept |
/spawn | back to spawn |
/kit Name | collect an equipment kit |
/back | back to the last location before a teleport |
You set warps in the game at the spot where you're standing – this doesn't work from the console.
Important: enable commands for all players
By default only admins (OP) may use EssentialsX commands. For normal players, give the permissions to the default group with LuckPerms, e.g. in the console:
lp group default permission set essentials.home true
Do the same for essentials.sethome, essentials.spawn, essentials.warp, essentials.tpa, essentials.tpaccept, essentials.back and essentials.kits.tools. The most convenient way is the LuckPerms web editor – how LuckPerms works.
Settings and kits
- Settings:
plugins/Essentials/config.yml, e.g.sethome-multiple(number of homes),teleport-delayandteleport-cooldown(seconds). - Kits:
plugins/Essentials/kits.yml. Each kit has a waiting time (delay, seconds) and a list of items. - After changes, enter
essentials reloadin the console or restart the server.
Good to know
- On very new Minecraft versions, EssentialsX reports "You are running an unsupported server version!" at startup. In our test on Minecraft 26.3 the commands still worked. If something doesn't behave as expected, an update via the installer often helps once EssentialsX officially supports the new version.
essentials versionin the console shows which version is installed.
