Here you'll learn how to connect to your server for The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
Connecting
- Start the server on the server page with Start.
- Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
- In the game, connect via the multiplayer menu or direct connect using the address (IP:Port) at the top of your server page.
- Enter the server password if you have set one.
Important settings
- Server name (
SRV_NAME) – the displayed name. - Server password (
SRV_PW) – password for the session. - World difficulty (
WORLD_DIFF) – e.g. normal. - Automatic update (
AUTO_UPDATE) – checks for updates on start.
You'll find further settings in the Files tab in MoriaServerConfig.ini.
Changes to the Startup variables take effect on the next restart.
Good to know
- On first start, the server downloads the game files. This can take a few minutes – please don't interrupt it.
