Here's how to connect to your Romestead server and adjust the most important settings.

Connecting

  1. Open the server page in the client area and click Start.
  2. Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
  3. Launch Romestead and join via the multiplayer menu – either from the server list or directly with the address (IP:Port) at the top of the server page.

Important settings

In the Startup variables tab:

  • World name (WORLD_NAME) – name of the world to create or load (must not be empty).
  • World size (WORLD_SIZE) – size of a newly created world.
  • Max. players (MAX_PLAYERS) – maximum number of players (up to 8).
  • Server password (PASSWORD) – empty = open.
  • Enable cheats (CHEATS) – cheat commands on/off.

Changes in the Startup variables tab take effect on the next restart.

Good to know

  • For a new world, enter a new world name and restart – the old world is kept.
