Sinusbot: set up your bot

Here's how to set up your Sinusbot – the music bot for Discord and TeamSpeak that you control via a web interface in your browser.

Setup

1. Open the server page in the client area and click Start.
2. Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
3. Open the address (IP:Port) shown at the top of the server page in your browser, e.g. http://IP:Port.
4. Log in to the web interface with the user admin and the admin password.
5. Connect the bot to your Discord or TeamSpeak server there.

Important settings

In the Startup variables tab:

• Password (OVERRIDE_PASSWORD) – password of the web interface admin account. Please don't leave it empty, otherwise you won't be able to log in.
• Pre-release (PRE_RELEASE) – downloads a pre-release version of the bot.

The basic settings are in the file config.ini in the Files tab. Changes in the Startup variables tab take effect on the next restart.

Good to know

• The portal generates the admin password automatically during setup. It is shown once at the top of the server page – please make a note of it.
