Manage players (kick, ban, whitelist, admins) and game settings

Kick, ban and grant admin rights in the “Players” tab – and for Minecraft and 7 Days to Die, change the key settings in a form instead of the file.

“Players” tab

Many games have a Players tab on the server page. What you can do there depends on the game:

  • Minecraft (Java): kick, ban and unban, give and revoke admin (OP), turn the whitelist on and off, add players to or remove them from the whitelist, message to everyone.
  • Valheim: admins, bans and the “Permitted” list (whitelist) by Steam ID (17 digits). Changes take effect after a restart.
  • Terraria: kick, ban, message to everyone.
  • Counter-Strike 2, CS: Source, CS 1.6, Garry's Mod, Left 4 Dead 2, Sven Co-op: kick, message to everyone.

How it works: under Online now, click Kick or Ban next to the player – or enter a name under Action by name, choose the action and click Run. Kicking and banning only work while the server is running.

For other games, use admin commands in the Console or the configuration files under Files – the articles for your game tell you where.

“Settings” tab

For Minecraft (Java) and 7 Days to Die you can change the most important settings in a form, without touching the file:

  • Minecraft: e.g. MOTD, player count, game mode, difficulty, PvP, hardcore, view distance and seed (server.properties).
  • 7 Days to Die: e.g. name, password, map, world size, day length, loot, blood moon and airdrops (serverconfig.xml).

Click Save and restart – or Save only if you want to restart later. We only change the values in the form; the rest of the file stays as it is. If the file doesn't exist yet, start the server once – the game will then create it.

Which shared users can see these tabs is explained in What rights do viewers, moderators and co-admins have?
