Survive the Nights: connect to and set up your server

Here's how to connect to your Survive the Nights server and adjust the most important settings.

Connecting

1. Open the server page in the client area and click Start.
2. Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
3. Launch Survive the Nights and find the server in the server list by its name.

Important settings

In the Startup variables tab:

• Server owner (SteamID64) (SERVER_OWNER) – your 17-digit SteamID64 – this gives you owner rights on the server.

Changes in the Startup variables tab take effect on the next restart.

Good to know

• Further settings (e.g. server name, player count) are in the Files tab in Config/ServerConfig.txt. We set the port entries automatically on every start.
• You can find your SteamID64 e.g. in your Steam profile link or with a SteamID finder.
