When a mod gets an update on the Steam Workshop, players automatically have the new version – but your server still has the old one. They often can't join any more. That's why we check this for you.
Which games?
DayZ, Arma 3, ARK: Survival Evolved and Squad – for the mods from the Mods tab. We check hourly while the server is running.
What you see
- A notice appears on the server page: “One mod has an update” or “… mods have an update”, with the names of the mods.
- You also get an email – once per new update.
What to do
- DayZ, Arma 3, ARK: click Update now (restart). The server restarts and downloads the new mod versions. Ideally at a quiet time or with an in-game announcement.
- Squad: new mod versions only arrive with Manage → Reinstall. Back up your world and settings first.
A regular restart via a schedule also keeps mods up to date.
Turn off the emails
Mod update emails are tied to the Crash alerts switch (server page → Manage card). If you turn it off, you'll get neither crash nor mod update emails for this server. The notice on the server page remains.
