Wreckfest: Connecting to and setting up your server

Here you'll learn how to connect to your Wreckfest server.

Connecting

1. Start the server on the server page with Start.
2. Wait until the status shows “running”. You can follow the progress in the Console tab.
3. Search for your server name in the in-game multiplayer server browser.

Important settings

• Server name (SERVER_NAME) – the name in the server browser.
• Server password (SERVER_PASSWORD) – optional password for joining.
• Configuration file (CONFIG_PATH) – name of the configuration file, default server_config.cfg.

You'll find further settings in the Files tab in the configuration file (by default server_config.cfg).

Changes to the Startup variables take effect on the next restart.

Good to know

• On first start, the server downloads the game files. This can take a few minutes – please don't interrupt it.
• You can find further ports of your server in the Ports tab.
