How much memory does a Palworld server need?

Guide values by player count – and why a daily restart helps a lot with Palworld.

Palworld needs a lot of memory – and the need grows the longer the server runs. Plan with some headroom.

Daily restart

The Palworld server hardly releases memory while running. An automatic restart once a day (e.g. at night) keeps it stable – set up in a minute: Automatic backups and restarts with schedules.

What else affects it

  • Bases and Pals: Many bases with many working Pals cost memory and CPU.
  • Raids: The startup variable bEnableInvaderEnemy (ENABLE_ENEMY) turns off raids on bases – this noticeably relieves the server.
  • CPU power: Palworld computes a lot. If it lags with many players, the next CPU tier often helps more than extra memory.

Start small, upgrade later

You don't have to decide right away: you can change the memory yourself at any time – your world, mods and settings stay, and on an upgrade you only pay the pro-rata difference. See Booking more or less memory.

On the server page, the history shows how much memory your server really uses and recommends a suitable tier if needed – more on this. If it lags even though memory is free, more CPU power usually helps more.
