Altis Life is a role-play mode for Arma 3: civilians, police and medics on the Altis map.
Requirement: database
Altis Life stores money, vehicles, houses and ranks in a MySQL database. Book “One database” under Manage → Book more power for this – without a database, the package shows “Book database” instead of “Install”.
Installing
- Server page → Mods tab → One-click packages → Altis Life → Install.
- We stop the server, create a backup (if a slot is free), set up the database including tables, the mission, the server add-on
@life_serverand extDB3, and start the server again. This takes about 1–3 minutes. - Join the server. The mission starts with the first player.
Admin, police and medics
In the Mods tab, you’ll find the Altis Life: Admins & ranks card. Enter the Steam ID (17 digits, starts with 7656), choose the levels, save. Admin level 5 = full rights, police goes up to level 7, medics up to 5. The player must have joined once beforehand; the ranks apply from their next join.
If something goes wrong
- Stuck while loading (“Waiting for server” / player data): Restart the server once. If that doesn’t help, send us a ticket – we’ll check the database connection.
- Mission not found: Under Files,
mpmissions/altis_life.altis.pbomust exist and theserver.cfgmust containtemplate = "altis_life.altis";. Simply reinstall the package. - Customising the mission (prices, vehicles …): The package installs the original version of the framework. Upload your own changes as your own PBO via SFTP.
For security reasons, the database is only reachable from your server, not from the internet.
