Our servers are prepaid: you pay in advance for the billing period you choose. Whether and how much you get back depends on how you end the contract.
Within the first 14 days: withdrawal
As a consumer, you can withdraw from a new contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
- Server page → Manage card → Withdraw from contract.
- Optionally add a note and submit.
- You'll immediately receive a confirmation by email.
We refund your payment within 14 days using the same method you paid with (e.g. card, PayPal or credit balance). Because your server was running from the moment you ordered, we deduct the share for the days already used – as required by law. All details are in the cancellation policy.
Good to know:
- Trial servers are free. The 14 days only start once you keep and pay for the trial server.
- Domains cannot be withdrawn from, because they are registered for you right away.
After 14 days: cancellation
There is no minimum term and no notice period.
- At the end of the billing period: the server keeps running until the paid period ends – so you use everything you paid for.
- Immediately: the server is deleted right away. There is no refund for the remaining time.
Tip: cancel at the end of the billing period instead – it costs the same and you can keep playing until the last day. Here's how: How do I cancel, and what happens to my data?
Open renewal invoices for the cancelled server are cancelled automatically – you don't have to pay them.
A mistake or outage on our side?
Were you charged twice, or was your server down for a longer time because of a problem on our side? Open a ticket with the invoice number. We'll look into it and find a fair solution. We refund overpayments to your payment method – or, if you prefer, as credit balance, which is automatically used for your next invoice.
Where do I see the refund?
- Back to card or PayPal: you automatically receive a credit note. You'll find it in the client area under Invoices, on the original invoice in the Credit notes section – also as a PDF. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days until the amount shows up in your account.
- As credit balance: the credit appears immediately under Credit in your transaction history.
